We're On Our Way...

Our wonderful vacation starts today!

Because God is just like that: good, kind, gracious, unconditionally loving and loves to bless us radically, my little ones and I are in CALIFORNIA!

7 weeks of being loved on, eating well, seeing people we love so much, enjoying warm California sunshine and pools and parks and oh, so many fun places.  We are most blessed.

7 weeks without daddy too.  It was with mixed emotions we said goodbye on Tuesday.  He is so good to us, too.  So gracious to be without his family for 7 long weeks.  So kind to share us so willingly with our California family.

Here are our first few hours:

One excited little missy waiting for our flight out of SP on Tuesday evening.

Has no idea how his world is about to change but he is excited because his sissy is!

Dancing out some of her boundless energy!

How long do you think it took them to look like this after arriving at Papa and Grammie's house on Wednesday morning???  If you guessed less than 2 minutes you are about right!

Afternoon and Evening with cousins: 3 year old, H, is allowing 5 year old, Chloe, to "mother" her!  They played for hours together.  My heart overflows with joy to see my children enjoying their CA cousins.

Grammie with 10 month old, S, and my little Noah boy.  Tired babies at the end of the evening.  Noah is quite taken with his "nenem" (baby) cousin!

Bible Story time and singing with Papa Rod!
I finally got to meet my youngest niece!  My auntie heart is content!  I will meet the next-to-the-youngest in June, which just makes me overwhelmed with joy as well!  My cup runneth over.

Working to win her over and not doing too bad, I might add!  She is a doll.

I am so sorry I look horrific: this is me after 2 days without any real rest at all!  But the baby is beautiful!

It will take us a few days to get our sleeping and eating routine figured out but it will happen.  The most out of normal thing was Miss Chloe woke up at 4:30 wanting to play and eat breakfast.  I passed out after informing her she could play in my bedroom with her backpack of activity books.  I moved to the kids bedroom and Mom got up at nearly 6am to find her happily playing in the bedroom!  She wanted macroni and cheese for breakfast.  They are at the park with Grammie now while Mommy is stuck at home waiting for FedEx to bring our suitcases, which did not make it on our Houston-San Francisco flight.  Pray they arrive soon and intact!  We literally RAN to make our flight because as I told Chloe, "We are NOT waiting for another flight out of here.  We will make it!  Pray for a miracle!"  And we got our miracle.  We were the last ones on but we made it.

So, for my sweet friends praying for a "boring" trip, we did not get as boring as I would have liked but we made it and GRACE was abundantly available for every challenge we had.  Thank you for your intercession on our behalf.  I truly appreciate it!

Off to just enjoy being here!
