Capturing...

Moments of Love by Tatiane Barros Photography

Baby's body guards!

Some aren't exactly the type I would develop, frame and display on my mantle but they make me smile nontheless!  This one with our little clown's silly tongue sticking out and baby brother's barf dripping out of his mouth just makes me chuckle!!!!
Once again, a huge thank you to my sister-in-law, Tatiane, for these pictures that capture so many memories for this mommy.  She is amazing and we love her.  Because of her time, patience and lenses, we will not be able to forget these precious moments...ever!

This week a baby screaming in pain for hours, a little girl on antibiotics AGAIN, a daddy with fever, a mommy with a cough, a filthy bathroom and just as dirty floors, days of grey, dripping weather, missing my parents tremendously made for a recipe of one mommy bordering on despair.

And then: she came and offered hours of companionship, laughter, tears, prayers and this Scripture that truly helped get my attention off myself and on the Word.

"This is what the Sovereign LORD, the Holy One of Israel says: In repentence and rest is your salvation, in quietness and trust is your strength..."   Isaiah 30:15

Talk about powerful!  Thank you, girl.  You are a rich blessing from the LORD in my life and I love you!

And yesterday she came and filled my freezer and fridge with all manner of wonderful delicacies to eat, loved on Noah so I could sleep and most amazing of all, gave me time to take a shower and wash my hair (things are pretty bad when you don't even remember the last time you washed your hair!) and (get this!) do my nails, all without wondering if toddler was carrying newborn around the house or covering him up with stiffling blankets, all in an effort to "take care of baby brother"!  Wow.  Last night, I felt like a new person.

Talk about blessed...overwhelmingly so.  Thank you, mother-in-law Rosa.  You were instrumental in righting my world yesterday.  Thank you for blessing us.  Thank you for your love!

And last night was the night: you know, the night you wake up with a start, wondering if baby is still breathing because it is simply NOT possible he is sleeping peacefully after so.many.hours?!  Yup, it was the long awaited night.  He was sleeping peacefully...for six hours straight!!!  I told my husband this morning I honestly cannot.remember.the.last.time.I.slept.for.six.straight.hours.without.waking.up...possibly not since I got pregnant and that is not (sorry to say) an exaggeration (you know, all those wonderful bathroom trips that make pregnancy so restful!).  So, all in all, today is bright

but NOT, I might add, because the weather is bright.  God is testing my resolve to be grateful and not complain about His goodness but honestly, how can one be truly grateful for a drippy, wet, grey, sometimes downright cold, Spring???  So, here is to longing for heat and sunshine but grateful to be Alive, Saved and today, for now, Rested!

Have a safe, fun and blessed weekend!

Love,
        Jama
