Celebrating Baby Boy's New Life

All decorated and ready for a special evening of celebrating our tiny son's life!

Our little church really was transformed into a lovely, decorated, festive baby shower.  So many of the details were results of my sister-in-law's many ideas and research.  I could not have done it without her help.  The help of many, actually.  Once again, God blessed me greatly through the team effort of so many people who love us and are anxiously awaiting baby boy's arrival with us.  You know who you are: for those who helped hang pom poms, made food, helped decorate, made the cake, made the favors, blew up balloons, helped serve food.  THANK YOU.  Was a really special evening for me.

It's a little dark, but this is a picture of me hanging from the ceiling.  We had a combination of pictures of babies from our church, Chloe, Everson and I.  Turned out so cute!

Favors and Cake Table

Our Guests

Black and White picture of Everson...one of my favorites of him as a baby!

Mother and Cousins of the daddy to be!

Friends and church family table!

Hohanna won a prize for one of the games

Isabelle won another prize!

Busy filling out "advice" for the new parents!

My mother-in-law, giving a short devotion

Fabrina won a prize, too.

We were blessed with many gifts but this one is extra special.  My friend, Vanda, made this blanket, all done by hand and made with an incredible amount of love.  So humbling to be the recipient of so much love and "carinho."  My cup runneth over.

More winners!

Denise won the final prize of the evening!

Saying thank you and God bless!
Our bags are packed.
Our hospital chosen.
Our call list and updated numbers all written out for daddy to call with good news!
His bed is all made and waiting.
We are 11 days away from D-Day, which we hold loosely to because little man will come exactly when he is ready.  But we like counting down!
My "Before Baby Comes To Do List"  is getting shorter and shorter.  I told his daddy yesterday that I am starting to look for things to keep me busy.
Only those who have carried babies 9 long months know how these last few days can be.  Miserable, anticipation, joy, weariness, heavy body, achy body, tired bones and muscles, more anticipation...all wrapped into one READY mommy!
Reading Baby Whisperer, just as a refresher course and preparation.  So anxious to find out what kind of little man God is sending us!
I tell his big sister every night that she is so wanted, so loved, so accepted, so beautiful.
I tell him the same thing.  "For this son I prayed and God has heard my prayer and has answered!"

Last week brought utterly, amazingly, exciting news via email: my mom is coming in a mere 3 week and my dad will come the end of October for 8 days.  So much more than I dared hope for.  So much more than my lack of faith even prayed for.  Talk about a special joy and gift from Above.  My anticipation knows no bounds!

Overwhelmingly blessed,
  Jama
