Playing Catch-Up

Chloe helping her Papa with shredding...this quickly became "her job"!
Chloe and I spent a wonderful two days with precious friends in San Jose.  Chloe enjoyed having four kids and lots of marvelous toys to play with.  I enjoyed the hours of catching up with my friend, Carrie.  How grateful I am for these hours in her home.

Story Time

The "triplets" painting up a storm!  Carrie's twins were born exactly one week before Chloe.  Imagine two full days with THREE three-year-olds!!!

Chloe, enjoying the kiddie pool at Carrie's community pool while her children had swim lessons.

Back in my hometown, playing dress up with Kate's ballet costume from last year.  Our little girl loves to dance!

So enjoying U. JP's visit in June.  We know he really came for his buddy's wedding, but we LOVED having him for a few days, too!

A special (and boiling HOT!) afternoon with my "old" friends at the park.  Was so fun to catch up with these girls who played such an important part in my life as a teenager and young adult.  Today, while thousands of miles separate us, they are still so dear to my heart and I miss them and enjoy the moments we get together every few years!  Thank you so much, girls, for taking the time to hang out for a few hours.  I love each of you dearly!

Visiting my Grandma after her major surgery, singing and praying with her.  Please pray for my Grandma Barbara, diagnosed with cancer and under the care of Hospice.  Pray for my mother and her siblings as they care for her.

Singing hymns with Papa and Haley girl before bedtime.

Chloe found this box in the trash pile and proceeded to spend over an hour playing out on the sidewalk in front of my parent's home!  Always amazes me how little kids need to be occupied.

Chloe and I LOVE fresh corn-on-the-cob and literally we could not get enough this summer!
Chloe and her faithful swim buddy, Allison.  These girls spent literally HOURS swimming together and jumping on the trampoline.  Here's a few pictures to honor the time spent at Auntie Jo's house!

Learning to breath out her nose under water!

Getting braver and braver...notice the lack of floaties!

Even Daddy spent hours swimming with the kids after his arrival in late June!

Everson and his swim buddy, Chad

Us at a lovely BBQ evening at J and J's home the first week in July.  If I look exhausted, it was because I was and I had not lifted a finger for over a month.  The heat was not exactly helping me out much!  But I loved it and was delighted beyond words to be missing record lows in Sao Paulo.
A blessed and safe weekend to all.  I am off to make TDH's request for lunch, as we honor him this weekend for Brazil's Father's Day!  He asked for Chicken Dumplings so dumplings it is!
