Nesting

Nesting for me looks a little like attacking my to do list with a ferocity that is even frightening to me at times.
1. FINALLY organizing, saving, copying to ext. hard drives, saving from emails, etc all our trip pictures.  Hence a few more USA pictures.  These are of my adorable nieces and my precious little daughter!
2.  Contracting and preparing for a guy to come paint our living/dining room and hallway.  The paint has been sitting here since before we left for the US.  Ah, will be SO nice to have it done and in two short days, Lord willing!
3. ORGANIZING every.single.cupboard.drawer.closet in the house...have to make more room somewhere for this little man and all his stuff!
4.  Waddling around town tying up what feels like a thousand loose ends before little man's arrival.
5.  Trying to spend some quality time with our little girl as her status as only child winds down!  She is very excited about baby brother's arrival but is having a really hard time with the concept of time.  We went to visit the last hospital on my list last Saturday (still trying to make the big decision!) and she was so confused why we weren't taking baby brother home with us and when in the world was he going to show up, by the way?!
6.  I won't bore you with listing anything else.  The list is LONG!  Just trust me on that one.

North Dakota: S and C enjoying another lovely afternoon outside.

The darling little outfits that my mom made each of the three girls.  Sigh.  We did not get our picture of the three of them together (see earlier post about that disappointment).  We did not even get one of Chloe with Haley.  Sigh again.  Next time!

Where is Haley???

My youngest brother, JP, with Haley and Chloe
Today I am grateful for:
1. fresh bread rising on the stove.
2. my girl's Bible Study group that decided they wanted to help me with a baby shower.  We never had one for Chloe and they, knowing I kind of wanted to do one (the Brazilian custom is you plan and give your own showers!), agreed to all pitch in and help me (also knowing that my energy level is terrifically low and I continue to simply not.feel.good.at.all.  God bless them.  i am really excited about this evening with friends and family and feel really, truly blessed by having the help.
3. the 6 ladies visiting Restoration Ministries this week from Michigan that gave us pedicures, hand and shoulder massages and facials this week at our Bible Study.  I felt so spoiled and so blessed!

4. the return of some warm weather.
5. my dryer is finally up and working!  I know that might not sound like a big deal to those of you who have always had one, but for me it is HUGE.  It is slow and not very strong but it feels like a lifesaver living in a tiny apartment with days out of the year when nothing, nothing, nothing dries and I only have so much space to hang clothes.  with a second baby on the way, doing laundry has been a huge concern for me.  God.Is.So.Good!
6. we get to meet our little guy so so soon!

Have a blessed evening!  Too bad you don't live next door to me.  You could come over and have some hot, fresh, homemade bread with me in about a half hour!  As it is, my little Chloe girl and I will enjoy it all by ourselves.  Contented sigh!

  1. Oh, dear Jama! Just reading your post today makes me feel as if I just saw you at Advent and got to share in your recent life events. But, you are in another country. You are married. You have a child. And, you have another on the way!

In the pics on your post, the first one of Chloe and your niece in the matching dresses, Chloe looks SO MUCH like you! Something about her expression explodes JAMA!

Though we don't interact often, you are in my thoughts and heart. I will be praying for you for energy and health as you finish out your pregnancy.

Have some bread for me. And, happy soon birthday!

    Love,

    Tammy
