Jesus Christ is the Lord!

Or is He?
It is easy to say but do I truly live this fact out in my life?
Does my life proclaim that He indeed is LORD?
Have you thought about what that truly means?
Our ladies Bible Study this week has challenged me intensely.
If He really is LORD of my life, shouldn't my day to day life and attitudes and actions and words look a LOT different than they do?
Ouch!
Conviction is the main entree around my house this week.

How I hope and pray He is truly LORD of your life, your day, your family, your home today.  That is my prayer for you and for myself!

A little shopping spree on our return trip to California.  Our daughter loves shoes and found these to try on!!!

She could not even stand correctly in them they were so incredibly high and off balance.

Our rockin' child!

Bear Loves!

And what is a summer in central California without a wonderful, hot evening at the County Fair?  Exhibits, animals, food, drinks, rides, concerts...was about too much for Miss Chloe to take in!

Our little Haley girl love.

This was one of the highlights of my entire summer.  I had just been thinking about this girl (standing next to me) the very day we went to the Fair.  I was sad I was probably not going to get to see her this trip.  She will always hold a special place in my heart.  She was "mine" for the first three years of her life: I her nanny and she my girl.  I loved her like my own and always try to see her when i am back in California.  I did not think it was going to happen, when suddenly this young lady is walking towards me out of the fair crowds, beaming from ear to ear, for sure she knew me and I was certain I should know her and did not.  I am sure I was red from embarrassment to realize it was my Amy girl and I did not even recognize her.  She had turned from little 12 year old to a lovely 15 year old since I saw her last.  So, so fun to see her and her mother, step dad and step sister, J.  I went home that evening just thanking God for that special gift that only He knew I was desiring!

Our last ride of the evening!

Loving on my Grandma once more: Everson is a wonderful massage giver and she said it relieved her swollen legs and feet.

Our last swim evening at Jo's house!

The first of many tough goodbyes.

A wonderful evening with friends whose friendships span many, many years and are just as precious as ever.  Hard to believe I used to babysit these kids too!  Now they have grown into accomplished young people.  Always a joy to be with the M Family.  They fix amazing Filipino food, have extremely talented children and a home that is just peaceful.

Our "littles" playing together.

Thank you, friends, for sharing your home and lives with us for a few hours!  You are truly a joy in our lives and we thank God for you and your family.

What can I say except our lives are full.  Our daughters are gorgeous.  We have less time to share heart to heart these days, but we are wives and mommies.  What a joy.  There was a time we neither one thought it would happen.  How good and gracious God has been to us both.  I love you, girl and thank you for spending the day with us.

Good bye for now.  "Until we meet again!"

Kite Day at Tia Holly's house

Evan was Everson's right hand man!

Everyone pitched in to help make tails for the kites!

Up, up and...

away!  Here, folks, is real life Brazilian kite!

A few California summer beauties from my cousin's lovely yard.

Fun with Tia Holly

That is Chloe's hair "el natural"!

Telling Grandma Barbara goodbye...

This, needless to say, is a precious picture to me.

Our wonderful, last family outing...the Zoo!

My lovely SIL, Renee and Miss Haley girl

My goofy man!

A lovely view high above the city!

I was the only one of the group who was not allowed to ride the Gondola because of my "condition" so I spent the 15 minutes or so waiting for the others and trying to figure out where that rule came from and why.  Never did figure it out.  I guess maybe going to labor a few feet off the ground could bring on a law suit!

Our last ride of the day: a fun little train ride around the zoo.  This one they did let me ride!

Another lovely view!

And just because I love them, the Kangaroos!

  1. We were so glad that you were able to come see us. The evening was a delight.
We visited with your grandma on Sunday. She looks more like herself and I hope she can regain her strength soon.
